REGIONAL ACCOUNTANT – NORDIC

Location: Cork
ROLE:
Main contact point between SSC Finance and the Nordic Region and maintaining good working relationship between SSC and the Nordic sites.
Responsible for executing & co-ordinating all Nordic accounting activities and providing excellent support service to the Nordic region.
Liaise with other Regional Leads to ensure that consistent processes are applied across all regions and that there is consistent treatment of corporate finance policies.
Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance in Nordic Accounting functions.
Ensure that month-end close timetable is followed by accounting functions supporting the regional close.
Balance Sheet and Income Statement integrity, including full periodic BS reviews.
General Ledger postings and reconciliations.
Liaison with external auditors.
Responsible for all Statutory Accounting and local statutory filings.
Responsible for all taxation filings for the region.
Supervising Account Payable Specialist (Nordic & Irish expenses).
Develop with the role to expand responsibilities within the SSC organization.
Ad-hoc project work as and when it arises.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified Accountant.
1-3 Years post qualification experience in Norwegian or Swedish GAAP.
Team player with individual initiative.
Fluent Swedish or Norwegian desirable.
Excellent communicator.
