ROLE:
German-to-English Translators for major international IT company based in Ireland. An ideal career opportunity for recent UK or Irish graduates with fluent German.
Our client is currently setting up a new team to translate company software. These are troubleshooting documents written by the development and support organizations at Head Office to help customers worldwide maintain smooth and efficient operation of their software installations. Tasks:
Translating software related to all enterprise software products from German into English using company terminology and computer-assisted translation (CAT) technologies
Qualifications
SKILLS:
- Native English speaker with excellent German
- Good university degree in relevant area (such as German/Translation Studies or Business Studies/Computer Science with German)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Translation experience and/or business experience is a definite asset
- Experience of Microsoft Office applications and CAT technologies
- Technical background and understanding of business processes would be advantageous
- Experience of living in a German-speaking country
